Details:
This was the view last night, from Australia, of Scorpius with Mars and Saturn rising in the moonlight of the waxing crescent Moon. From this latitude Scorpius comes up on its side. Mars is outshining Antares, its rival red star, but the pair still make a bright combination in the late evening sky. I shot this from my observing site near Coonabarabran, NSW, Australia on a perfect austral autumn night.
