Details:
An impromptu observation this morning as I photographed Comet LINEAR 252P in a large mosaic panorama at 5:30 am PDT local- 12:30 UT time, in Trinidad, a few miles north of the Humboldt University at Arcata California, using my 43 year old art college days vintage Mamiya/sekor lens adapted to a newer Sony Digital camera and steady tripod without tracking. (*see two attached images from my Facebook with noted distortions as coma effect of the brighter stars caused by a wide open f/1.4 lens, minimally stopped down to f/2.) * a second image was turned 90 degrees clockwise to fill the page at full screen size for the viewers benefit, with an enlarged inset image at lower right. art & photography by markseibold©1954~2016 all rights reserved
