Details:
It is known that the lower the Sun will be on the horizon, the -higher- a rainbow will be. That s why we can see rainbows more frequently at sunrise / sunset. On the contrary, the higher the Sun will be (with a maximum of 42° above horizon), the -lower- the rainbow will be. Today, after an heavy shower at 13h35 - 1.35 p.m local solar time, while the Sun was 39,6° above the Paris horizon (thanks to the -Heavens Above- web site !), only the superior part of the bow was visible. Very Nice ! The -Sacré coeur- Basilica, on the Montmartre hill, can be seen in the background, as well as a few mamamatus clouds.
