Details:
Delighted to notice increasing auroral activity early into Alaska Airlines flight 128 from Fairbanks to Seattle, I decided to snap a few images with a bright Full Moon (-1 day) illuminating the arctic landscapes. The active auroral displays are captured between 01:44-02:18 AM on March 22nd - dancing above moonlit clouds while flying over Delta, Tetlin and Northway Junctions (Alaska, USA) and Quill Creek/Burwash Landing (Kluane Lake, Yukon Territory, Canada).

Details: Nikon D800 camera w/24mm f/1.4G ED lens (ISO 2000-4000, 1/6-1.0 sec.)
