252P LINEAR and the Large Magellanic Cloud. 2016 Mar 16.46 UT; magnitude m1= 5.7 ; Coma Diameter = 45’; Degree of Condensation = 3...8x40mm Binoculars. Observed nearly overhead. Easily visible despite 58% moonlight interference. Sidgwick method - in focus comet comparable to out of focus Eta1 Dor at 40'. Coma becoming more condensed. Faint outer edge of coma confirmed using a SWAN band filter. Distance to Earth = 7.0 million kms
