Details:
What started as a cloudy and hopeless night on March 12 turned into a decent night of aurora viewing in Churchill as a low-level Kp1 or 2 display entertained us for an hour or so as clouds drifted through. These are some images of the auroral curtains to the northeast where I was shooting a time-lapse. However, bands formed overhead but never brightened significantly to create a great display. Still, considering the earthly and space weather prospects this night, we saw a decent display. The clouds added another aspect to the images and time-lapses, and show how even with some clouds the Northern Lights can still be worth watching and shooting.
