Details:
Elisabeth (her 5th) and I (my 16th) observed the total solar eclipse from the deck at the Bela International Hotel in Ternate, Indonesia. The images below are of the second and third contact flash spectra and the coronal spectrum at mid-totality. The cloud bank to the north and northeast thickened and expanded during totality, but we never completely lost the sun. Technical details: Nikon D-700; Nikkor 80/200 2.8 D lens at 155mm, f/4 at 1/50 second for the flash spectra; 1/15 for the coronal spectrum. Post processing in Capture One.
