Details:
Now in my last month of guiding for the season for Lights Over Lapland in Abisko. Tonight I was running one of the expeditions and we just had 3 days of consecutive aurora. Tonights being potentially the best of the season. 6 hours of auroras and some huge coronas (one shown in the images at 0.8 sec exposure). Then after work I met up with fellow guide (Sarah Skinner) and we headed down to the lake to see if we could photograph the aurora with the impressive ice cliffs. The aurora didn't disappoint whilst we had to listen to the ice groan and crack as the 70km frozen lake spoke to us. Amazing experience to be visually and audibly blown away like that. If not a little spooky...
