Details:
What an epic display, so bright I was able to pick up the aurora in the nautical twilight from around 1906 UTC. There were several very active spells when it was overhead Aberdeenshire, with a red arc visible to the south at one point. As you can see from the time lapse in the link below, I was fairly lucky in the timing of the snow showers on the night.
