Details:
I photographed the first quarter of the moon through my WO FLT-110 apo refractor. I then strongly enhanced the subtle colors of the original and got an Andy Warhol like effect. But these colors are real and tell a lot about the rock composition and age of the distinct areas. To the right an image from LROC and a color overlay from Clementine (also slightly colorenhanced). Although some of the mapped colors slightly differ between the 2 pictures, the areas are very similar. /*Peter R
