Details:
I was shocked by tonight's aurora which caught me off guard, amazingly the aurora was visible with the naked eye over light pollution with huge beams over the famous Toome Bridge, what a show and what an outburst.! Canon 600D 10mm F/2.8

For anyone confused / curious, the purple color is from the purple spotlights lights around the bridge, not purple auroras: http://www.nightskyhunter.com/images/ToomebridgeNLCs010-8.jpg

The yellowish green in the background is the actual aurora.
