Details:
With temperatures around 35 degrees centigrade this February a Snow Moon is the last thing one would expect to see in Zimbabwe. However late this evening an almost pure white full Moon with a beautiful halo appeared high up in a watery sky above some cumulonimbus clouds in which lightning could be seen darting to and fro from time to time. After taking a close-up of the Snow Moon with a hand-held Panasonic Lumix DMC-TZ60 compact camera, I set up a DMC-TZ10 on a tripod and managed to capture a few video frames in which both the Snow Moon and lightning appear together.
