Some aurora beamed up behind the hills of Otago Peninsula, Dunedin New Zealand. First wave observed at 16Feb 22:24 NZT (16Feb 10:24 UTC) During the end of astronomical twilight with the moon still up and a meteor flashing down. Second wave at 17Feb 01:07 NZT (16Feb 13:07 UTC) During the beginning of moonset while the tide was getting higher in the shallow inlet. It was one warm and beautiful night. Sony a7s with 24mm f1.4 iso6400 and 16mm f2.8 iso12800 both at around f3.5

The big white light on the horizon on the first photo is a distant squid boat with a large LED light onboard.
