Details:
I challenged my distance learning ASTR 1030 students in Tennessee to get up and view the fine conjunction of the Moon, Venus, and Mercury. Here are some of their best shots.
1. Angela Pillow got nice crescent moon, but Mercury very faint to lower left.
2. Samuel Salehe got a nice urban foreground for the grouping, with Mercury easy to spot below Venus and Moon.
3. Sam again, but a telephoto with better moon detail and great dawn colors.
4. By Sunday, Ida Smith could still pick up Venus and Mercury, but moon now too close to Sun. Fun while it lasted!
