Details:
It was the longest drought of aurora watching that I have experienced the last aurora was January 01, 2016 whew, I was going into serious aurora withdrawals when my friend Piotr called and said get out there the aurora is unbelievable. I scooped up my gear, my salad that I had been making and was out the door. The wait was well worth it as we experienced a 30 minute window of unbelievably beautiful auroral display. This image was taken in the famous Kananaskis country that frightened Leodardo Decaprio away with its viscous climate changes, tonight was no exception the wind was gusting up to 100km/hr, just another day in the beautiful K-country!
