Details:
On the afternoon near and just after sunset polar stratospheric clouds were visible in the Netherlands. Earlier in the afternoon a large bank of type-II clouds passed the central part of the country. From my position that display was not visible but later smaller type-II clouds appeared low above the westsouthwesterly horizon. Also a large amount of PSC type-I filled part of the sky over the whole westerly horizon. Especially 40-50 minutes after sunset, that display delivered a nice orange glow, which was very remarkable in the clear sky. The dark stratocumulus clouds gave a nice foreground with that orange PSC behind it. For me it was the first time in my life that I observed PSC type II, therefore a special moment to remember.
