Details:
Despite the brightness of the moon, the early January 20 event was easily visible near the moon. Aldebaran is visible to the west of the moon a few hours after the occultation. A faint halo around the moon is barely visible in photos. I was surprised to see the aurora in the photos gives an illusion of looking closer than the clouds! Nikon D7200 with 14-24 lens at 14mm, f2.8,approx 1 sec, 2000 iso. (Camera time stamp was incorrect by 7 hours)
