Details:
What a fantastic aurora, when I first arrived at Rattray Head there looked to be a fair amount of Cirrus, but the first test shot showed that it was actually aurora, with rays extending overhead. The display died down after that with much of the action on the northern horizon, but it was easily visible against the moonlit skies, with a very active and bright rayed band around 0050 UTC. Shots taken with a Canon 6d, and Sigma 24mm lens, stitched together using hugin. 1) 2002UTC, 2) 2047UTC, 3) 0055UTC, 4)0100 UTC
