Details:
From 6 Dec 15 to 15 Jan 16, I took various exposures of Comet Catalina then filter out most stars to help reveal the subtle tail structure. Note how as the comet crossed the equatorial plain and approached the earth, it grew in size and the dust tail angle to the coma went from obtuse to acute angle. Taken with Nikon d7100 Nikkor 180mm ED f/2.8 @ f/4.5 Exposures ~65sec for about 60 minutes under various skies/moon conditions.
