Details:
As Comet Catalina continues thru Bootes towards the tail of Ursa Major, the ion tail (about 2.34d) and dust trail are striking in appearance even in a single color exposure of 120s (2m) with Canon T6s dslr, Meade 4in SCT f/6.3 (630mm fl), iso 6400 on 2016/01/10 UT 1209. Second exposure is showing tail extension also faintly recorded as shown on SkyXPro chart/graphic with spiral galaxy NGC 5403 midway along the ion tail path. Last image is negative view of the tail extension out to HIP 67866.
