Details:
Last night I took a group of 4 students from Asia on an Aurora tour. The weather forecast indicated that the sky might be partly clear in the very east of Finnish Lapland near the border with Russia. We had a nice surprise to find a completely clear sky, and actually one of the clearest that I have ever seen there in the far north! Lady Aurora came to greet us with her gracious dance. First for almost an hour, we could just see a green band in the sky. The band was growing higher and thicker, until the bright green color appeared and some movement became visible. A long and extremely rewarding tour in the Arctic, as we came back to the hotel at around 2am!
