Details:
Within an hour of sunrise I captured the .7 degree separation of Venus and Saturn and the 28 day old Moon. The icy fog that hugged the horizon made for a bright Venus that looked more cometary than planetary due to the atmospheric bloating. The close-up shows the difference in magnitude between the worlds with Venus @ -4.0 and Saturn @ +0.5.
Used Canon 400D camera and Sigma 17-70 & 70-300mm lens. ISO 400-800, f/3.5-4.5 at 1-5 sec.
