Happy New Year to all spaceweather.com readers and staff! Here are my first Auroras of 2016. I arrived on 31 December in Lapland, Finland, hoping to see the big Aurora storm of New Year's Eve. Instead, I had another kind of storm: completely covered sky 300 kilometers around me with gale force wind. Tonight 1 January, I had my first clients of the year, all of them leaving the Arctic the next day and desperate to finally see the Aurora. The weather gave us a nice surprise by clearing up! So we had happy clients from India, Poland and China, and a happy guide from France!
