It has been a good year for lunar halos, several good ones this past year. Last night's started in the early morning and continued off and on for a few hours. This photo is from just before dawn (6 am) with the halo and a starry sky to the north and west. Photo taken with a Nikon D800 and a 8 mm Sigma fisheye.
