So am not long in this morning from a 8 hour aurora photo shot and my god what a show it has been all them nights out hoping to just see glimpses of it pushing south even when you new there was not much of a chance.
But on Sunday I new we where in for something special when i seen the CME had hit and sparked of a G1 storm which upgraded into a G4 on Sunday evening.
for 8 hours solid I ran a time lapse of the Aurora just outside Ballyshannon and below are some Images of the Display I got.
At 6:00pm Sunday evening a very strong display took place with strong rays and rare pulsing at times.
as the evening and when on the green bad was coming and going and then just of the phone to Noel Keating who was coming to meet up with me as he was clouded over another very stong display of pillars started to dance along the sky near midnight when other had giving up and gone home.
One thing I dont do is give up because of cloud why ? becasue one minute it will be cloudy and the next clear.
Around midnight Noel Keating Photography join up with me where we then watched the green grow in strength with strong rays again appearing above.
At around 2:30am Monday morning we then called it a night as cloud had started to move in.
