Details:
Clears skies invited a glimpse of Comet Catalina after several cloudy nights, even snow flurries. But as the comet emerged above the skyglow from the lights of Boone, NC, dawn was fast approaching on its heels of brief minutes in the sliver of dark sky it found. The comet was about half way between bright stars; Arcturus and Spica (near Mars). Image made using a Nikon D7100 with a 180mm at f4, 30sec x9 stack, ISO 800, WB-4k on an iOptron Sky Tracker.
