Details:
From about 10pm on the evening of the 13th December until dawn on the 14th December many meteors were flashing all across the northern sky, every now and then an extremely bright coloured one would light up the whole sky…which was just breathtaking! I managed to capture this beautiful one just before midnight at my Stardust Observatory with a Canon 350D camera and a Tokina 11-16mm F2.8 lens set at 12mm which was set up to take an image for just 20 seconds on and off (for dark frame) all night long…this is the whole wide field image so you can see how spectacular this meteor was as it came blazing across the sky :-)
