Details:
Here's a binocular-field view of the daytime Venus occultation on the morning of December 7, 2015, as shot from near Portal, Arizona. I was only able to use a focal length of 200mm for this event so the scale isn't too great! But skies cleared well enough for an excellent view of the ingress in a mostly blue sky. The photo shows the scene as it appeared in binoculars. And Venus was visible to the unaided eye even right up until moments before it disappeared. Very neat.
