This is an update from our 11-19&20th meteor shoot. #1 Fireball with smoke GIF, #2 full frame of meteor, #3 close-up of meteor, #4 composite with Draconid fireball from 11-20 post. There was an 58% illuminated moon that evening; it took a little processing to tone them down a bit. This bright golden fireball was caught at 7:58 PM; just 26 minutes earlier than the large Draconid fireball from my 11-20 post. I'm not sure if this was another Draconid, but it would appear to be. They both have the same color, and with stars aligned, it's convincing! Two nice meteors whatever you call them! This bright fireball left a smoke trail that persisted for over 9 minutes! The animated GIF has smoke until the end and covers 9+ minutes after the meteor burns. All shots are Canon 550D, ISO 3200, Rokinon 14mm @ f2.8 for 10 seconds each. The GIF is 69 frames.
