Details:
A windy day, driving along the highway and my wife noticed this "sinkhole" in the clouds. It noticeably stood out as different and unusual. But we don't know what it was, do you?

that is a fallstreak hole cloud, caused by all those airplane contrails you see in the back-round. The turbulence makes a sort of cascade occur.
