Details:
With clear sky predicted for Otago, I headed off to local beauty spot Nugget Point in the hope of capturing the early stages of an aurora. Boy did I get lucky! There was an incredibly short minute long outburst at 10:48 local time here in New Zealand. Watching the aurora, as the south pacific ocean waves crashed 50 metres below my feet was simply magnificent!
