Details:
Did not witness in person but recorded on 4 separate cameras. I have been an amateur astronomer for 30+ years and this event was the brightest that I have ever recorded. It lit up the entire sky and cast shadows as if a nearby lightning strike. It overwhelmed my most sensitive all sky camera as seen in the color shot. It was witnessed by others in the area. The Perseids were my favorite meteor shower until the Leonids went crazy for a year or so in the late 90's. Then the Geminids perked up a few years back. Now the Taurids are going crazy. What's next? I'm putting a video on Youtube later today.
