Details:
It was a beautifully clear morning Oct 28 with the trio of Mars, Venus and Jupiter forming a perfect triangle in the dawn sky. After this the tight configuration breaks up as Venus drops to meet up with Mercury on Nov 2 and 3 and Jupiter climbs higher. At 5 am I headed to an old farmstead near home in southern Alberta to shoot the morning scene with a rustic and photogenic foreground, lit by the setting Hunter's Moon. On the way home at 7 am I stopped at a lake to shoot the planets in the then bright sky over the misty lake waters.
