There’s quite a lot of activity around the new Sunspot AR2434 that shows up beautifully in the solar telescope, it’s also interesting to see that the activity is also showing up in the white light image in the way of some faculae…as noted also by Steve Wainright in his lovely solar image on the 15th October :-) The H-alpha image was taken with a Lunt 80mm solar telescope and a Canon 700D camera, there are 25 images that were stacked in RegiStack6 and processed in PS CS4. The white light image was taken with a Meade 80mm refractor with a glass solar filter attached to the front lens and a Canon 700D camera, 20 images were stacked in RegiStax6 with settings @1/640th second exposure and ISO200.
