Details:
I went out behind the house to shoot the half-moon just before 02:00 AM and when I took these pictures of the moon a rather weak auroras blazed up. I change camera and full throttle in the car down to the pond where I took some nice auroral images just after 2:00 PM and up to the quarter to three approximately.
The picture I like most from the night exercises is the one with the moon a little to the right side of the aurora. This and the aurora as a veil behind the pine tree and the moonlit sparkling in the water, make the whole picture!!
Moonlit is not what I like at aurora photography! But with a strong aurora that are strong enough to match the moonlit, it becomes only benefits.
What more could you ask of a northern lights night?
