Details:
The picture was taken from Mont Megantic, home of the Mont-Megantic Observatory and core of the world’s first International Dark-Sky Reserve. The conditions were perfect, with no clouds during the eclipse. It was great to see the eclipse in a dark place, to experience the extreme difference in luminosity. This composite image is made of multiple exposures taken 5 minutes apart and which were carefully added on others exposures for the foreground/sky before the eclipse, and the stars during he totality. The camera was not moved and the composite image show the exact position and progression of the eclipse’s phases.

Well done, Remi. Difficult combination of such a wide range of exposures.
