As I watched the beautiful total lunar eclipse last night I took the thrill a step further by pointing my tripod mounted laser pointer at the blood moon. Pentax K-5 IIs, 8:45 PM CDT, 9/27/15, very little, if any wind, at the time of the exposure, 3 second delay using infrared remote, 8 sec exposure, ISO 800, 1250 mm focal length, prime focus of a 5 Inch Celestron mounted onto an 8 inch Celestron, clock drive on.
