Details:
This really was a dark eclipse. At my location for shooting, I had a tough time finding it, but a sharp eyed buddy spotted it as it was rising over the horizon just below a nice Belt of Venus! (1st shot)
Later, it was easier to resolve and image. Such as it still under full eclipse over communities just East of Portland, Oregon. (2nd shot)
