I took some long exposures from our hotel balcony in Olu Deniz Turkey and picked up this green shape, i managed to get 2 more photos of it then nothing, ten minutes later got it again but it looked slightly different

Its a simple reflection of a bright light on your optic. The bright light responsable of this reflection is the bright light in the city (right side).

It is an internal lens reflection caused by the brightest light source opposite from it across the center of each unedited frame. Internal reflections will usually change shape and brightness the farther or closer the light light source is from the optical center of the lens.

I agree. I have seen many photos posted to this site of the exact same thing. ALL of them have a bright light source within or close to the image frame. It is light flaring on & between the glass of the lens. You can test this out by taking a photo on purpose with a single bright light source and see the results. Draw a line thru the center of the flare & it will trace back to the light source.
