Details:
I had set out to chase the American Queen while she was in town over the weekend. When she settled in the port of St. Paul, I crossed the Mississippi River to get a shot of her against the city's skyline. I had seen alerts for elevated Aurora activity, but didn't think they'd be visible from there. Skies were clear, but it was almost 4:30am, the air was a bit hazy and the light pollution really hampered the viewing. Despite the conditions and much to my surprise, the camera picked up a faint green glow! I had told a friend earlier in the week that I'd love to get the boat with the Aurora overhead. While this wasn't exactly how I envisioned doing it, I managed to pull it off!
