Details:
I woke up at 05:40 this morning. A look out of the window...ah....Venus...so it's not overcast at all. As planned we drove to signal Hill to watch the sunrise. No wind and a very small clear part just on the horizon. And indeed sunrise with eclipse already in progress was visible through the telescope. After sunrise the sun moved into thick clouds so we packed the stuff quickly and drove back to the Hotel where we were able to watch the rest of the eclipse very relaxed from the big balcony of our room. I never had continental breakfast during an eclipse before !
