Details:
In this photograph the moon is in its last quarter ascending phase and at 51% illumination. Aldebaran is the star next to the moon. Aldebaran is an orange giant star located about 65 light years away and is one of the brightest stars in the night sky. It is the brightest star in the Taurus constellation and can be found in the Northern Hemisphere by following a straight line from the three stars of Orion's belt from left to right – the next bright star found by continuing that line is Aldebaran. In this image the light from Aldebaran has been enhanced via Star Spikes Pro 3 plug-in for Photoshop. © Mike Taylor | Taylor Photography Workshops - Presentations - Prints http://miketaylorphoto.com
