Details:
While flying to Florida to visit my aging father near Cape Canaveral, a fellow passenger informed me of a rocket launch the next day. Inflight wi-fi revealed a 6am launch time and 7am sunrise (actual launch ~6:17). I've seen enough launches just before sunrise (or sunset) to know that sunlit rocket plumes against a darkish sky can be magical. Armed with photogear for the upcoming Aldebaran reappearance, my sister and I got up at 4am, parked at the NASA causeway, and climbed up the grassy hill for better vantage. What followed blew our, and everyone's, minds. Launchpad at lower left.
