Details:
As you know, the Rosetta spacecraft is currently orbiting this comet just a few hundred miles from its nucleus. Unfortunately I was about 800,000 farther away here on earth when I took this picture. No it's not a great comet picture but I just wanted to capture some of its photons for myself to have my own record of this great moment in space exploration history. Stack of 13 exposures for a total of 4m 45s centered around 11:52 UT on Aug 25, 2015. Very faint tail almost 1' long can be seen going toward upper right. Celestron C11 f/10 prime focus with Nikon D7000. Exposures of 20 to 25 seconds at ISO 1600. Comet magnitude around 13.2. Altitude 22 degrees up in the eastern sky in Gemini, 20 minutes after astronomical twilight started. Vertical FOV about 15'. (Didn't take flat frames so there are some dark dust spots)
