Details:
Ive seen a lot of displays in my time, but this has to be one of the best for beautiful structures. This shot was taken during the first active phase, which built up very quickly and nearly caught me out. Still, I managed to get some reflections over a small inlet in the Spey estuary, and even the high cirrus clouds didn't distract from the beauty of the aurora. Composed of 2 images taken at 2155 UTC on the 26th August 2015, with a Canon 6d, Samyang 14mm lens, f2.8, ISO 1600, 6 second exposures.

Nicely captured Graeme. I was heading down to the coast when I spotted a bright ray quite high up, so I pulled in to the Spynie Kirk car park pronto!
