Details:
From central Wyoming under dark skies, I watched dim to moderately bright aurora from 06:30 UTC 23-Aug to 11:00 UTC when twilight ended the show. Best time (picture) was 09:21 UTC. At NO time did I visually see any color! But shapes and forms showed well to my eye, and around 09-10 UTC it seemed fairly intense. Picture Nikon DSLR. 30sec, 3200 ISO, whitebalance incandescent bulb.
