Details:
I know this is sort of cheating, as this happened in June of 2012, but the luck was amazing as it had been raining heavily all day. A bright spot appeared in the cloud cover, enabling a 1/4000 second direct exposure of the suns's disk with Venus parked smack dab in the middle.
