Details:
This was a tricky image to grab as the sky had been overcast with cloud all day. Then, late afternoon the cloud thinned to allow a dimmed Sun to shine through. Using a solar filter, I centered the scope on the Sun's disc and via my mount's setting circles offset to the position of Venus. Despite the thin cloud, the beautiful crescent shone through. The crescent is now rotating around as the planet swings under the Sun towards inferior conjunction.
