Details:
While sinking in the twilight, Jupiter and Regulus formed a tight grouping this evening with Mercury that is climbing and has just returned to dusk. The closely packed equilateral triangle (one degree on each side) they formed some 5 degrees above the western horizon and 14 degrees from the Sun, was followed by Venus 8 degrees South of them (left). Shown in the photos, Jupiter is the lowest in the triangle and Regulus is the faintest. The high dynamic range and night scenery modes of the Canon SX60 HS camera were used and each photo is the composite of 3-4 shots, also treated for increased sharpness and reduced noise.
