Details:
Barely visible to the naked eye some 35 minutes after sunset, Mercury is still very low in the evening twilight. However, it is rapidly approaching Venus and Jupiter as it gradually ascends in the western sky as seen from the Southern Hemisphere. The photos show the trio. Venus is the brightest (on the left), while Jupiter is on the right. Below Jupiter is Mercury, seen over/between the palms of a coconut tree in the second/fourth photo and also next to branches of bougainville bushes in the first one. The shots were taken with a Canon PowerShot SX60 HS camera from 20:57 to 21:04 UT.
